Good news for DCC Management clients.
After more thean 2 years since submission of the applications, on 20.12.2013 the Management Authority has published the list with the final evaluation results of the 2011 projects call for large investments within SMEs.
According to the previous release of the Authority on 01.10.2013, the threshold score for funding approval is 92,4 point; however the initial budget of 425 mil. lei will be reasonably extended, thus we expect a decrease of the scoring threshold previously announced.

Good news for European SMEs!
A new EU-wide funding programme has been officially launched as of 11.12.2013 – Horizon 2020 – European Comission’s new funding programme for Research and Innovation as part of the new financial cycle 2014-2020, bringing very good opportunities for innovative European SME’s.
Horizon 2020 will offer a total budget of 80 bln euro, with 15 bln. euro planned already for 2014-2015. In 2014, with a budget allocation of 7,8 bln. euro, the programme will focus on its 3 key pillars: Excellent Science (3 bln. euro), Industrial Leadership (1,8 bln. euro) and Societal Challenges (2,8 bln. euro).
The 2014-15 expected calls include an allocation of approx. 500 million euro dedicated to innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the brand new SME Instrument.

Good news for DCC Management’s clients, once again!
Innovation Norway is announcing the short- listed projects, following the applications for the Green Industry Innovation 2013 call in Romania, part of the EEA & Norway grants mechanism 2009-2014. The contracting phase will take place during January-March 2014.
The programme was one of the last funding opportunities for the Romanian private sector, and enjoyed a great interest from innovative SME’s and Large enterprises, as 85 project applications were filed prior to the deadline on 07.08.2013, amounting to 47 million euro, far exceeding the allocated budget of 24 million euro.
The programme has proven itself a very valuable alternative to traditional EU-funding or State-aid programmes available in Romania.

Comments Off on EEA grants for Renewable Energy in Romania
The Renewable Energy/ Rondine programme Romania under the EEA Grants 2009-2014, has been officially launched today, 26.11.2013.
The programme will be operated by the Romanian Environment Fund Administration, in partnership with The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate and The OS National Energy Authority of Iceland.
The programme will focus on 2 components- Hydropower and Geothermal, with a total budget of 12.657.406 Euro to be equally shared between the 2 components, and will offer grants of minimum 170.000 Euro / project. The programme addresses all types of applicants, with funding rates of up to 50% of the total eligible costs for the private sector and up to 100% for the public sector.
Submission period is expected during January-March 2014. The deadline for the implementation of the approved projects will be 30.04.2016.

A new funding programme has been launched within the EEA grants mechanism 2009-2014 – “Research within priority areas”, impemented by the Romanian Executive Agency for Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation Funding, in partnership with the Research Council of Norway and the Icelandic Centre for Research.
The programme addresses 4 thematic areas Renewable energy; Health and food safety; Environmental protection and management; Social sciences and humanities and has an allocated budget of 21.681.063 euro, with grants of 500.000- 1.500.000 euro.
The programme is addressing Research institutions in Romania and the Donor States, as well as SME’s as part of Joint research projects, with funding rates of up to 100% of the total eligible costs (maximum 70% for SMEs), in compliance with applicable state aid regulations.
Deadline for applications will be 17.01.2014 (23:00 Romanian time).

The launch of a new funding programme for Energy Efficiency is expected by the end of 2013/ start of 2014 for the Romanian SME’s across different industries. The programme will be operated by the Romanian Ministery of Economy under the EEA & Norway grants mechanism 2009-2014.
With a total budget of 9.411.783 euro and maximum grants of up to. 700.000 euro, the programme will address exclusively SME’s, giving priority to application filed in partnership with relevant entities based in the Donor States (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein) as in the case of most programmes within this financial mechanism.

Innovation Norway has published updated information about the recent call of Green Industry Innovation programme Romania 2013.
By the deadline on 07.08.2013, 85 project applications have been received by the programme operator, amounting to 47 million euro, thus exceeding the allocated budget of 24 million euro and the interest initially expected.
The submitted projects focus on sustainable production processes, product design and services.

Good news for the enterprises with applications filed for the SME’s large investments call in 2011 ! The Management Authority is currently informing the applicants about the preliminary evaluation results.
The list with the final results is expected by the end of this year, after receiving and evaluating potential claims resulting from the preliminary evaluation results.

The Ministery for Communication and Information Society is currently sending approval letter to the applicants of the 2011-2012 project calls for E-business (POSCCE 331) and E-commerce (POSCCE 332) applications addressing the Romanian SME sector.
The calls have enjoyed a huge interest among the private sector, with 1000 applications for the E-business programme and almost 700 applications for the E-commerce one.

The Management Authority for the SOP-IEC programme in Romania has announced the launch of a new project call addressing the private sector, both SME’s and large enterprises – “Development of R&D infrastructure along with creation of new jobs for R&D” with a total allocated budget of 100 mil lei.
The official launch of the programme is expected for july 2013. The individual grants will amount 1 mil- 40 mil lei with funding rates between 40% – 70% of the total eligible costs, depending on project location and type of applicant.
