The Ministry of European Funds in Romania has announced the call opening and the calendar for *the Operational Programme for Large Infrastructure*, Action 6.2 *Superior energy efficiency for industrial enterprises*: opening **on the 15th of July 2016**, with **start of proposal submissions on the 15th of September 2016** and call closure **on** **15th of September 2017**. The total programme budget has been confirmed at **EUR 17.6m**.

**200,000 EUR** grants available for industrial enterprises in Romania to implement **monitoring systems for energy consumption**, with funding intensities **up to 100%.** This funding scheme addresses enterprises across the mining and manufacturing industries, with significant annual energy consumptions (over 1,000 tonnes of oil equivalent ¬ 11,630 MWh), looking to invest in complex monitoring systems as a prerequisite for improving their energy efficiency performance.

Eligible expenses include most of the equipment and/ or facilities needed for the implementation of such systems (specialized hardware & software, remote terminal units, data communication systems, master stations, computerized data processing systems, other specialized equipment).
