**200,000 EUR** grants available for industrial enterprises in Romania to implement **monitoring systems for energy consumption**, as EU funding under the Operational Programme for Large Infrastructure.

With funding intensities **up to 100%**, the funding scheme addresses enterprises across the mining and manufacturing industries, with significant annual energy consumptions (over 1,000 tonne of oil equivalent) ¬ 11,630 MWh), looking to invest in complex monitoring systems as a prerequisite for improving their energy efficiency performance.

Eligible expenses include most of the equipment and/ or facilities needed for the implementation of such systems (specialized hardware & software, remote terminal units, data communication systems, master stations, computerized data processing systems, other specialized equipment).

The call opening is expected in the **first half of 2016**, with an estimated total budget of **EUR 11.6m**. Submission of applications will be ongoing, with funding approval to be awarded on a first-come first-serve basis, subject to a **minimum of 80% score**.
