Our special funding recommendation for 2018 The EEA & Norway grants across Central and Eastern Europe. 2.8 billion euro will become available starting this year, for a variety of areas, with an estimated 30% expected to go to the private sector with a special focus on topics like green industry innovation, energy efficiency, ICT innovation, Blue Growth. Most of the 15 Beneficiary States have signed MoUs with the Donor States. EU funding in Romania. Over 500 million euro will be available during 2018 for private sector companies investing in industrial innovation, collaborative R&D projects, renewables, energy efficiency, development of production capacities, ICT, job creation, along with skills development and entrepreneurship support programmes. European Commission funding for business innovation. The SME Instrument, EC’s main direct funding instrument for highly innovative SMEs under Horizon2020, will continue in 2018 with 4 cut-off dates for each of its 2 Phases, with a total of €480 million available. Further €1.15 billion will be made available in 2019-2020. Additional instruments are the Fast Track to Innovation , the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET)-Open and the Horizon prizes

 

UK funding for innovation. Since its inception in 2007, Innovate UK has provided over £2.2bn funding for innovation to businesses and research organizations. The Delivery Plan 2017-2018, with a total funding allocation of approx. £500 million continues in 2018, with competitions to support business-led innovation across sectors. It will be followed by a £1 billion Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund during 2018-2021.  A high number of funding competitions are being launched on an ongoing basis, along with Innovate UK’s latest funding option – the innovation loans.

 

Start-ups acceleration support. Having worked more with technology start-ups in the past few years, we started to understand better their needs. In 2018, we will start offering bespoke acceleration support for early stage technology start-ups through our expertise in funding advisory expertise, innovation management and international business development.
