At Winnovart, we continue our tradition of promoting organisations from the Donor States – innovation champions and leading suppliers of novel technologies and solutions.
We are introducing Deep River – Norwegian award-winning supplier of Mobile hydropower plants for off-grid areas. Their hydropower plant technology provides electricity generated from river currents and waterfalls to small, off-grid communities.
Deep River has developed two hydropower plants for generating electricity from river currents and waterfalls, based on its redesigned Kaplan turbine and synchronous magnet generator technology. This new and efficient renewable energy solution can support in tackling the growing worldwide demand for electricity, whereas global power demand is projected to increase by 60% by 2040 and 1.2 billion people live without electricity due to lack of infrastructure and unreliable electricity sources.
Reidar Vestby, CEO Deep River:
”Our vision is Deep River to be the world leader in supplying solutions to production of electricity from water in motion related to mobile micro- and small scale power plants. Due to their small size and light weight, our hydropower plants can be installed in locations where other solutions are unfeasible. Key differentiators are the power hub and plug-and-play capability of our plants. The plants are competitively priced and are built from high-quality components, requiring minimal maintenance over the course of a 15-year life expectancy. Our plants require minimal maintenance, are local, stable, sustainable and environmental friendly”
Deep River’s hydropower plant technology can be a great fit for the EEA&Norway grants schemes supporting Energy Efficiency and Renewables projects.
With a successful background in funded projects under Horizon 2020/ SME Instrument etc., Deep River understands very well the requirements and the process of such programmes.
Under the EEA&Norway grants, Deep River can be the ideal bilateral partner when it comes to the development of project-focused innovative solution of mobile hydropower plants for off-grid areas. This power hub and plug-and-play capability of the hydropower plants are different from other solutions on the market with their cost-effectiveness, longer-term life expectancy and easy-to-install in various locations.
You can contact us at any time for finding out about funding programmes supporting innovative investments in energy and green solutions under the EEA & Norway grants.
The EEA & Norway Grants 2014-2021 open up a great funding opportunity for investments in energy efficiency, innovative solutions around renewable energy and generally for green innovation projects across sectors. Via this financial mechanism, the Donor States Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway have allocated a significant amount of funding for enterprises across the 15 Beneficiary States.
