    UK Innovation funding – up to GBP 470,000 in projects leading to more cycling and walking

    The Department of Transport will fund up to GBP 470,000 for innovative projects that lead to more walking and cycling, with innovations to include technology, infrastructure, manufacturing or behavioural change. The competition is open to individuals, groups and organizations and SMEs and runs in 2 phases:

    • phase 1: proof of concept. Projects should last 15 weeks and range in size up to a total cost of GBP 25,000 each.
    • phase 2: demonstrator projects. Projects should last up to 9 months and range in size up to a total cost of GBP 100,000 per project.
