EUR 300 million innovation funding for Romanian enterprises

EUR 300 million in EU funds for developing innovation projects on the Romanian market. A new round of calls will be launched in the following two months. Grants of up to EUR 20 million and a funding intensities of up to 100% will be available for R&D infrastructures, innovation clusters, knowledge transfer, and for synergies with the Horizon 2020 programme.

The Competitiveness Operational Programme (POC – Axis 1 – Call 2), the main funding programme for innovation on the Romanian market, has as its general scope the stimulation of innovation and the development of R&D activities in SMEs and large enterprises. The funding programme will provide grants of up to EUR 20 million and a funding intensities of up to 100%, for all the development regions in Romania, apart Bucharest-Ilfov. As with the previous calls of this programme, it will be available for both enterprises registered in Romania, as well as those registered in another EU Member State.
