EEA&Norway grants

EUR 60.6 million are available under the EEA & Norway Grants – Fund for Youth Employment to combat youth unemployment across Europe, addressing the 15 beneficiary countries plus Ireland, Italy and Spain.

EUR 2.8 billion will be allocated to 15 beneficiary states within Northern, Central and Eastern Europe over 2014 – 2021 timeframe reflecting five priority sectors and 23 programme areas. Out of these, six programmes in particular address the private sector:

Malta will get EUR 8.5 million under the EEA & Norway grants 2014 – 2021, being one of the 15 Beneficiary States across the EU in this new funding cycle, to have signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein).

EUR 2.8 billion will be available to companies, universities and research institutes, NGOs and public sector organizations in 15 EU countries across the CEE region, Baltics and Portugal under the new 2014 – 2021 EEA& Norway financial mechanism. Slovakia will get more than EUR 113 million under the EEA & Norway grants 2014 – 2021, being one of the 15 Beneficiary States across the EU in this new funding cycle, to have signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein). The total budget includes EUR 15.5 million of national co-financing.

Bulgaria will get more than EUR 210 million under the EEA & Norway grants 2014 – 2021, being one of the 15 Beneficiary States across the EU in this new funding cycle, to have signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein). The total budget includes EUR 24.3 million of national co-financing.

Romania will get EUR 502.5 million under the EEA & Norway grants 2014-2021, after being the first country, from the 15 Beneficiary States across the EU in this new funding cycle, to have signed The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Donor States (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein). The total budget includes EUR 48.7 million of national co-financing.

The Blue Book has been finalised, which sets out the priority sectors and eligible programme areas under the EEA & Norway Grants 2014-2021 funding cycle.
