UK Innovation Funding

Up to GBP 10 million to be invested in innovative projects, that encourage and stimulate the development of robotics and artificial intelligence (RAI) technologies for application in extreme and challenging environments.

Up to GBP 15 million to be invested in innovative projects lasting between 6 and 36 months, with total eligible costs per project ranging from GBP 25,000 to GBP 1 million depending on the type of research & development to be undertaken.

Up to GBP 6 million to be invested in innovative projects, that encourage and stimulate the development of demonstrators of robotics and artificial intelligence (RAI) for extreme and challenging environments.

The Department of Transport will fund up to GBP 470,000 for innovative projects that lead to more walking and cycling, with innovations to include technology, infrastructure, manufacturing or behavioural change. The competition is open to individuals, groups and organizations and SMEs and runs in 2 phases:

Up to GBP 5 million is available to UK partners from Innovate UK in collaborative research and development projects with Jiangsu partners. Up to GBP 13 million to be invested in highly innovative projects, that address the global need for clean, affordable and secure energy. Proposals must address 3 elements: cost, emissions and security of supply. This is a three stage competition open for UK organizations, international partners, SMEs, universities and research organizations:

Up to 1,5 million is available in the first phase of the competition and up to GBP 1,5 million in phase 2, that include proposed systems design. Phase 2 will only be available to projects funded through phase 1. Phase 1 projects are likely to be worth between GBP 40,000 and GBP 80,000 and last up to 6 months.

Up to GBP 2.4 million to be invested in projects that use cutting-edge solutions to improve cities in Brazil. Projects should address one or more of the following areas: the governance of urban systems, urban infrastructure and sustainable urban environments.

Up to GBP 5 million will be available to invest in collaborative research and development projects attracting Shanghai and UK registered companies.
